Who we are

Scott Buehler is the founder of ClearStep Technologies.  He is a pioneer in the field of electronic technical documentation and training systems.  He fielded the first Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) used by the US Navy while at GE in the early 1990s.  In 1995 founded Red Oak Knowledge Systems, Inc. and fielded the first “knowledge systems” at Ford, GM, DaimlerChrysler, and the US Mint.

Red Oak grew quickly, and eventually fielded over 200 Knowledge Systems in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.  In 2004 the company expanded into manufacturing consulting and Red Oak Group LLC was formed.

ClearStep Technologies LLC was formed in 2007 to leverage advances in network technology and Learning Management Systems.  ClearStep’s mission is to produce electronic documentation and training systems at the highest level of performance and affordability.

Our staff comes from a variety of technical backgrounds, but they all share the following traits:

They are dependable.

They write clear, accurate Instructions.

They complete projects on time and within budget.
